Getting ready for practice

In the course of getting ready for my first practice with the girls, it has come to my attention that one must have a game plan:


  1. Warm-up until everyone arrives (5 minutes)

  2. Ballnastics (10 minutes)

  3. Throw in practice (10 minutes)

  4. Small-sided activity (3v3 with goalies) (15 minutes)

  5. Cool down (5 minutes)

Lets see how well I can stick to the plan!

Well, it didn't go that bad. We did some warmup running for a while, and then practiced stopping on the whistle with a red light/green light dribbling game. After that we practiced passing to each other and communicating with our team mates by calling their names when passing to them. I hold no illusions that they are ready for their first game on Saturday, but we are gonna have fun.
