Photo Shoot!

I did some searching around and found a photographer here in Omaha who is willing to do some free work for me, as long as I let her use some of the photos in her professional portfolio.

We are going to be using Omaha's Old Market area as our locationand down on the waterfront

I will get to do some indoors/outdoors and then some in the alleyways around that area for my "down and dirty" shots.

I am so excited!!

So, I entered a contest

"Venus Diva Magazine Cover Model Contest

Submit yourself AND help us choose our next curvy cover model for the Venus Diva Magazine! What are we looking for in a cover model? It's more than just being beautiful...A Venus Diva is a woman that believes that when she inspires even one person to discover her talent and passion, that she becomes part of the very fabric that encourages us all to thrive. This is what a Venus Diva Cover girl embodies... Beautiful, yes, but beyond her physical gifts, a Venus Diva Cover Model is willing to reach out and support others in their dreams and passion."

I have a bunch of pictures up there, in addition to Musecube and Modelmayhem. It's the first time I have really put myself out there with no guarantee of a positive outcome. It's been a fun ride so far, with lots of postive comments. I even scheduled my first "Photo Shoot" and can't wait until it's time!
Take a look and tell me what you think:

ee cummings is a genius

Humanity i love you

Humanity i love you
because you would rather black the boots of
sucess than enquire whose soul dangles from his
watch-chain which would be embarassing for both
parties and because you
unflinchingly applaud all
songs containing the words country home and
mother when sung at the old howard
Humanity i love you because
when you're hard up you pawn your
intelligence to buy a drink and when
you're flush your pride keeps
you from the pawn shop and
because you are continually commitings
nuisances but more
especially in your own house

Humanity i love you because you
are perpetually putting the secret of
lifer in your pants and forgetting
it's there and sitting down
on it
and because you are
always making poems in the lap
of death Humanity
i hate you

PHENOMENAL WOMAN

PHENOMENAL WOMAN
by Maya Angelou

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies
I'm not cute or built to suit a model's fashion size
But when I start to tell them
They think I'm telling lies.
I say
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips
The stride of my steps
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please
And to a man
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees
Then they swarm around me
A hive of honey bees.
I say
It's the fire in my eyes
And the flash of my teeth
The swing of my waist
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say
It's in the arch of my back
The sun of my smile
The ride of my breasts
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say
It's in the click of my heels
The bend of my hair
The palm of my hand
The need for my care.
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.
