The power of disagreement
It seems like a paradox
For we all want those
Who are quick to agree with us
Nevertheless there is
Something to be gained
By listening to those who disdain
Those who disagree with you
Those who think differently too
Many are they who are not
Perfectly in agree with you
However from them we can learn too
Everybody has something to offer
Therefore don't treat dissidents like a pauper
When they seemingly rain on your parade
Pop your balloon and vain charade
Harness yourself and refrain from a tirade
Not everyone you disagree with should you degrade
Take revelation and translate it into manifestation
Be your personal best and embrace transformation
As you go from glory to glory
Strength to strength
Grace to grace
Faith to faith
Don't take people of another ideological orbit
And defiantly spit in their face
Show some social grace
Disagree if you must
But don't violate their trust
Disagree without being disagreeable
Build bridges at least relational
For all are learning
The learning curve can be steep
Be polite therefore and not a creep
In so doing others will hear
When it is your time to speak
Thereby you shall be able to go deep
Taking people into new horizons of knowledge
Elaborating on your personal experience
Understanding shall increase as will tolerance
Together harmoniously relationally
Unity shall be achieved
Despite the differences in how you believe
The door for constructive dialogue
Shall mightily be opened
Information will flow through freely
The power of disagreement
Will bless you mightily
As you listen wholeheartedly
Carry yourself respectfully
Uphold every person's dignity
And interact with opponents wisely.
